Summary

A Date for the Regatta (The Dating 9) Read Free Hoist the main sail and ready the bow thruster, this ship is going to be rocking.London Bauer hates her job. Working with the New England elite, she’s used to yacht club snobs glaring down their noses at her as she serves them dinner and caters to their extravagant whims. Thankfully, they tip well and London needs every cent she can get.One shift goes from bad to worse when Max Richmond saunters in. As if she needed another reminder why she should never mingle with the sailors, he has the audacity to ignore her. London wasn’t looking to sail off into the sunset with him after the night they spent together, but acknowledging her would have been common decency. She follows Max into the bathroom, fully intending to give him a piece of her mind. Instead, she finds herself getting wonderfully reacquainted with his drive shaft. Now, Max is insistent that London join him at the Kingstown Regatta. Surrounded by his uppity friends and family, London fears the divide between their lives is too deep for any vessel to sail. While she’s ready to weigh anchor and move on, Max is manning his helm and prepared to show her they can weather the roughest of seas... together.Climb aboard and wax the deck, the motion of this ocean will leave you weak in the knees. *************** 1 London “Do you have any idea how much I want you?” The sound of his voice lingers in my mind. I can still feel the way he touched me and the way he kissed me. When I close my eyes, the vivid memories of our night together flash through my mind. I’ve never had a one night stand before, and I should’ve known better than to give in to him. Max Richmond. I don’t know how or why he noticed me, but he did. Someone like Max is only after one thing, but he sure does have a way with words…and he knows how to treat a woman in bed. He has a way of making you feel like you’re the only thing he could ever want. Never have I ever been with a man who thought about my needs. Not even my ex-husband knew how to make love right. It was usually a wham bam, thank you ma’am kind of deal. If I happened to get an orgasm, then great, but if not, it wasn’t his problem. That might be why our marriage lasted only two years. We dated in high school and got married right after. The biggest mistake of my life. The asshole took all my savings and there was nothing I could do about it. Hence, why I’m now living with two women and have been working as a waitress at the Wesleyan Yacht Club for the past three years. My goal is to become manager one day, but I have to work up the ranks for that. Dressed in only my bra and underwear, I open my closet door and pull out the crisp, white button-down shirt with the Wesleyan Yacht Club logo printed on the front pocket. I’m supposed to wear it to work along with a pair of black pants or a black skirt. Most of the young women I work with wear the skirts and flaunt themselves around the elite men who waltz into the club. I could care less

Amazon London's starting over because her ex stole all her money. So now she's waitressing at the club where the rich come to look down on everyone serving them. But when she meets a gorgeous guy there and spends the night with him, she is rethinking her view of rich guys with yachts. Max is tired of living his life according to his stuck up father and stepmother's expectations. When he meets a gorgeous waitress, he starts envisioning his future with her. He's finally ready to break free from his father when his father's horrible attitude drives away the only chance he has at happiness. Will Max allow London to disappear, or will he go to all lengths to find her and let her know just how he feels? Another sweet, steamy novella in the Dating series. Max and London are adorable together and had the best epilogue of the series yet. ARC via Buoni Amici Press for an honest review. Blog | Instagram | Facebook | Twitter

After a painful divorce, both emotionally and financially, London finds herself working as a server to the entitled clientele of the Yacht Club as she tries to work her way up to position of manager.Max is one of the members of the club and although he is fine to look at, she isn’t so sure about his friends. They spend one steamy evening together but when one night is not enough will their very different lifestyles be an obstacle too large to overcome? There is so much more to Max than the affluent playboy he appears to be and he is exactly the champion that London needs in her life.

Another 5 stars for Dover and McLaughlinI honestly have never been to a Regatta and wasn't quite sure what it was, so I searched about it while I was reading this book. What a fun idea for one of the date series books! There is always something beautiful in the wealthy falling in love outside their circle...it is like a Cinderella fairy tell and you can't help but let it warm your heart in this story.

Date for the Reggatta is book nine in The Dating Series. It can be read as a standalone. This one is a quick short read. London is a waitress working at a Yacht Club. I liked London. She staring over ad a hard worker. Max is a member of the club. He's rich but not snobby. They have a one-night stand that turns out to more. They are from different backgrounds and that causes a little bit of trouble. Overall this one was a good sweet read.

London Bauer is reeling after spending the single best night of her life with Max Richmond. Though she enjoyed it, what's to say that he felt the same? His social & financial standing are way above hers, so she doesn't expect much. Will Max exceed her expectations, giving her love as well as a chance to fulfill her dreams? This was a good story, and a great addition to the series, complementing the ones I've already read. This is a fun, light feel-good romantic comedy that I recommend.I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

Another great story from two great authors. This time up it's London and Max. Max is a spoiled rich boy who just wants to sail. London is a waitress at the Yacht club with her sight set on Management. They should work but they do.

I cannot state enough how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Dating Series, and these two authors writing together are pure gold.  London's life has been not great as of late because she's been through a painful divorce which left her with nothing, and now she's a server at a snooty yacht club trying to work hard enough for a promotion to manager.  Max is one the members of the club, and they couldn't be any more different if they tried, especially since they come from very different backgrounds.  However the intense chemistry they have doesn't care, so they hooked up for the hottest night, and that one time isn't enough. However, that whole different background situation they have will throw all kinds of obstacles in their paths, so will those obstacles be too big to overcome?!  Hit those one click buttons to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

4 starI was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below they are part of this series in case you want to read those books(s) firstA Date for Midnight (The Dating Series, #1)A Date with an Admirer (The Dating Series, #2)A Date for Good Luck (The Dating Series, #3)A Date for the Hunt (The Dating Series #4)A Date for the Derby (The Dating Series #5)A Date to Play Fore (The Dating Series #6)A Date with a Foodie (The Dating Series #7)A Date for the Fair (The Dating Series #8)This is London and Max’s story. London needs her job even though there are things about it she hates. Like the snobby customers she has to deal with. When she sees a man, she had one night together, and he ignores her she is mad. But when she follows him, he proves that he still wants her. Can he convince her they can have a future or is the divide between them just to wide to sail into the future together?I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.I recommend this book.

Loving this dynamic duo and their wonderful dating series. A Date for the Regatta brings us London and Max. London is a young woman that is making it on her own accord after a divorce. She is working as a waitress at the local yacht club while working her way to becoming management. She is smart, beautiful and determined. Max is a man on a mission he could work for the family business but that is not his dream. He wants to take his passion for sailing and make it work as his job and life. Max has had his eye on the lovely London for years but it was never the right time...until now. One night is all London thought they had but she soon realizes that Max may be in for the long sail with her! This couple had instant attraction, sizzle and great chemistry. ~~Michele McMullen~~

Such a great book! We’ve gone to a fair, had a great golf game, ate at one of Chicago’s best restaurants, and now we’re at a regatta! Max is the son of divorced parents, his mom and stepdad are down to earth, but his dad and monster of a stepmother are another story. They’re the rich you hate, the ones who only look at the amount in your bank account and consider anyone with less than a six figure income as beneath them. Max has had it made though, thanks to his parents he’s a member of the local yacht club and races in the yearly Kingston Regatta. A race he’s won for the last few years. Back at the club again this year, he decides that the time is finally right to get with London, one of the servers in the club’s restaurant. London is a hard working woman, recovering from a divorce where her husband cleaned her out financially. Living with two roommates, she’s keeping her head down and working to secure a promotion at the yacht club. She knows that once she gets the management position, she’ll be better able to help the rest of the staff, all while saving for a place of her own. So when Max Richmond takes an interest in her, she thinks it’s nothing more than a one night stand is surprised when Max continues to want to be with her. When he introduces her to his mom and stepdad, she’s stunned, and when Max tells London of his plan to buy the marina and asks her to run the restaurant there, she’s downright shocked. She can’t believe that someone of Max’s stature would want to be in a relationship with her. Such a great story!! I loved the characters, the setting, and the plot. It’s a marvelous quick read that will leave you smiling at the end. Definitely the best romance series I’ve read this year, and I can’t wait for the next one in the series!! **I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This series has been amazing!!!!London has not had it easy. having gone through a painful divorce and being left with nothing. Now having to start over as a server at a yacht club, hoping to move up the ladder. Max is a member of the yacht club. Even with this being he is not like all the others at the club. The obstacles these two have to go through maybe to much for them or can they overcome them?I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Michele A.

London and Max have what she thinks is a one night stand. She works at the Yacht Club where he is a member. She is divorced and trying to start her life over. Max has wanted London for 3 years and finally decides to take his chances. Their story was a quick read. He warned her that his father and step-mother were pieces of work. I didn't understand why she didn't stay around to listen instead of just believing everything. It seemed she had some self-esteem issues. Liked how Max was patient and went after what he wanted.

Another winner for this fun series! This time we get rich guy Max and working class London; he's from family money and she's working on becoming the manager of the restaurant tethered to the yacht club that hosts a regatta each year. On the surface they shouldn't work, but Max is nothing like the rich world he was born a part of and it shows in how he treats not only London but her best friend as well. Of course there's always that issue that crops up that comes between our couple du jour, and I loved the way Max handled that situation; nothing like getting put on full blast in front of a room of your peers that now knows how desperate you are lol. I love the epilogue and how things worked out for Max and London!

one_more_chapter

This book was great.London is a great character. She’s been put through the wringer by life but holds her head up and lives the best life she can.Max is torn between the life he wants and the expectations of the life he was born into.Together they work. They compliment each other and can have open conversations about important things.I like how Max didn’t try and pretend to be someone he isn’t or back down when someone said or thought something wrong about him. His fortitude makes him one of the best male protagonists in this series.I adore Max’s mom and stepdad. She is just delightful. His stepdad is kind and patient, especially with his exuberant wife. I wish there’d been more book so we could spend more time with them.I loved the subtle nod to a previous character in the series (I won’t spoil it).I received an advanced copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

Who are London, Max Richmond, Kitty, Mark, Alyssa, Sheldon & his wife? I love Kim. She's fun! She's London's "I got your 6" girl. How does each of these people meet or know one another? What are the relationships like, if any? I did not like Vance or Yates! I wasn't sure how I felt about Max at the beginning, but he grew on me! Would he end up being another Vance or Yates type person? What roles does each of these people play in how this story goes? Oh gosh, I am crying as I finish reading this story. You should read it! London is a waitress who works at the Yacht club and Max is one of the members and one of the participants in the regatta. They both belong to different worlds: she is middle class and he is a rich. But one night Max manages to gather the courage to finally ask London out on a date, and what was to be one-night stand ends up becoming the beginning of their love story.Sexy, very romantic and with a bit of drama makes this a perfect story.“London, I am falling in love with you, and I’m falling fast. Ever since you started at the yacht club, I’ve wanted to ask you out. If I had then, it wouldn’t have been fair to you or Alyssa, because she and I were together. But when we broke up, all I could think about was getting back to the club to see you. That night I arrived, and you were working, I told myself that this was my chance. Our time.”

Sarah

Max and London's chemistry was on fire! London works for the Yacht Club and Max is a member. After 3 long years Max has the courage to ask London out. London wants to keep their relationship a secret because high society frowns apon Rich people dating below their status. Max doesn't care he wants to yell it from the roof top! We get laughs, love, friendship, drama, hurt feelings and a HEA out of A Date for the Regatta! I love this series of short stories!!
