Summary

BEARly Mated to the Grizzly (Bear Clan 2) Read Free I’d once been a great dancer. A ballerina. But an injury ended my career, had me longing to go back in time, had me loathing the city and the very profession I’d once loved.
So, I decided to get away from it all, go out in the middle of nowhere to clear my head, and focus on what was important. Things were going great until a bear was at my back door, trying to get in. And it ended with me wielding a knife for protection and realizing it wasn’t just any bear, but a shifter who claimed to be my mate.
Maddix.
Strong and powerful, his very presence had me questioning my entire existence. The mating was fast and furious, potent and real. It was everything I ever wanted, and everything I never thought I’d have.
It was all wrapped in one whirlwind, insta-lust experience.
But could I give myself over fully to Maddix? Could I truly leave the city and the life I’d always known behind?
Could I do it all for the promise of love from one possessive, the territorial bear shifter who would do anything to make me happy?
Because if there was one thing Maddix made very clear, it was now that he had found me, he wasn’t letting me go. *************** Chapter One Allison This was better than sex, or so I assumed given the fact I’d never actually had sex. But I could imagine the pleasure I felt right now was how fucking would be ... just sweatier, or maybe not. I closed my eyes and danced to the music, ballet my life at one point and time. It had been until I’d lost everything to one horrible moment, one second of fate. I focused on the music, on my moves, even though agony screamed through me. I was fluid, like water, like air. Nothing else mattered. Too bad my career was over and all I had left of my ballet profession was a busted ankle and a dream that would never turn into something more. Too bad my days were spent teaching others the art, my passion, knowing I’d never be able to live the dream they were experiencing. I was bitter, and I hated that I’d become like that. I hated that the spark of life had left me, that I was this jealous has-been that longed to be someone else, to go back in time. That wasn’t my life now. And I needed to accept that. The music ended and I stopped, opening my eyes and slowly uncurling my body from the graceful position. Across from me was the mirror that went from one wall to the end of the other. The woman staring back at me was dressed in all black, my leotard, my tights, even my shoes the same dark color. My hair was tied in a severe bun, dots of perspiration lining my temples as I breathed heavily. I’d been dancing for the past hour, trying to get to my happy place, the one moment in time where nothing else mattered. I turned away from my reflection and looked at the empty room. I could remember vividly being in a room just like this, dancing, training professionally. That seemed like a lifetime ago now. My ankle screamed in pain, but it did every week when I danc

Reader reviews of BEARly Mated to the Grizzly (Bear Clan 2)

Charlotte

*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenesMaddox knows his bear is restless. Maddox wants to be happy his brother found his mate, but he's jealous, envious and hates himself for feeling that way. Maddox has to get away so his bear can run and he can have solitude, so he's going to his favorite camping spot.Allison was a ballerina until an injury took away her career. Allison taught ballet to others after her injury, but she was jealous, envious of how they danced and she hated herself for feeling that way. Allison decided she needed a changed, so she rented a cabin in the woods and left the city to get a clearer look at her life.Maddox seems more animal than man, I like that his mate is a little ballerina. This story is very short, so there is no back and forth or dragging anything out (a plus to me).The only thing I was a little disappointed about was there was no epilogue giving us a glimpse into the future, like there was in book 1. I'll be moving on to book 3 soon. I'd like to follow the other brothers too!

This is the second book in the Bear Clan trilogy. I liked the first book so much I went and bought the other two books too. In this book we have Maddix who is feeling like he is about to lose his mind because all he wants is to find his mate. He's a bear shifter who lives close to his brothers but far enough away that they have space.Allison had been a ballerina but one wrong landing had broken her ankle and ended her career. She ended up being a ballet teacher but it just wasn't the same so one day she packed up and went to get some rest in a cabin she rented out in the mountains.Maddix was running around the mountains in his bear form when he caught her scent and his human half couldn't stop the bear from seeking her out. She saw him alright and was terrified that the bear was trying to get inside her cabin to attack her. Their first meeting was not ideal but when she finally realizes what he is she does finally calm down. Then of course the attraction takes hold for both of them, they are smokin' hot together. They could hardly keep their hands off each other almost right from the very start. Humans and shifters coexist peacefully, humans being taught about shifters in school so they know what to expect if they happen to be mated to one. But even though she knows what to expect, it doesn't make it any less confusing or exciting. This was a quick, sexy novella that kept me fully engaged because I wanted to see them get to know each other and see Maddix find his mate. This trilogy has been great so far and I'm looking forward to the next book.

Nothing new and I'm bored.

BEARly Mated to the GrizzlyI do love a Jenika Snow book. Maddix is a bear shifter looking for his mate. Allison is going through the motions in life ever since her accident and her dancing dreams vanished. Needing to get away for a while from the city life, she takes off to a remote cabin for some fresh air to figure out what’s next in life. Maddix is out on a run and scents him mate and before he knows it, he’s at her cabin trying to bust down the door in bear form. Being scared out of her mind at the bear trying to break in, she takes off to leave the place only to end up stabbing him with a knife not knowing he was a shifter. Can the get past their first meeting? Will Allison leave the city life behind and stay with Maddix forever?I really do enjoy her books. My only complaint is that it seems like the forplay goes on forever and they will talk about how much they want each other and what they are going to do to each other for a few chapters. Let’s get to the good stuff and have more of a story. -safe read-double virgins-no om/ow drama-okay epilogue (a couple months out). Wish there was more of their life in the future.

What an amazing additions to the Bear Clan series! In this book we have Maddix, the wild and untamed brother who is desperate to find his mate and Allison is an ex-dancer in desperate need of finding her passion in life again. Although this story was a great read, unless you read it as a stand alone it is A LOT of recycled information from the first story as well as similar situations that are a turn off and had me skipping pages. I also found some grammatical errors in the store such as double or missing words that hindered the reading experience. All in all a great story, but could have been better.

Allison’s career as a ballerina is over and now she needs to regroup and find out what to do. She decides to take some time away from the city and reconnect with nature. She didn’t expect to find a shifter and mate. Maddix is happy for his brother Zak. Zak found his mate. But Maddix wants that too and knows she is out there. He didn’t expect to find her but when he did, he wasn’t going to let her go.Maddix was next in line in the series if you read the first one, “BEARly Controlled Grizzly.” He seemed to be the one having a hard time controlling his bear. Now he found his mate and he puts a “bear” hug on her. I feel for Allison. To be a ballerina and then one bad fall, her career is over. Yes, she teaches but it isn’t the same. And man can these guys talk dirty. Just reading what they are saying is arousing. I wonder if Oli is next?

Whenever I need a quick and hot read, I always look to see if Jenika Snow has anything new out. This is the second book in the series and is Maddix's story. Maddix is a bear shifter and has been patiently waiting to find his mate, but living on the mountain, he doesn't know if he ever will. While on a run through the forrest, he catches the scent of his MATE!!!!! Allison has left the city and rented a cabin in the mountains to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Once a dancer, an ankle injury ended that for her and no matter what, she can't get over that. When she sees a huge bear by the door to the cabin, she's terrified. What follows is a building of their relationship. She knows about shifters and when Maddix tells her that she is his mate, she's weary but intrigued. I loved that the relationship didn't start off with sex but it built up for a week or so. But when that happens, WOW!!! Make sure you have some ice water!!!! This was a quick and easy read and I throughly enjoyed it. Now I want the next brothers book! LOL

Another wam, bam, done erotica. It's hard to rate a book that's a little less than 50 pages? Characters were pretty one dimensional and the sex scene was pretty forgettable and vanilla.

A short novella read but felt it was very wash, spin and repeat. Nothing added to the world building or back story, so didn't feel like anything had moved on. No idea who the other two brothers were, they are mentioned, but no dialogue. There is a set up for third book brother Oli, but it hasn't inspired me to read more of the series. Sweet epilogue, but sadly not enough to save the story for me.

2+ but not rounded up. The series as a whole is pretty repetitive, with some better than others. Here, our leads are lonely bear Maddix (brother 2 of 6), and his fated mate Allison. Allison is a ballet dancer whose career has just ended due to injury. She has run away to a cabin in the mountains to regroup and reevaluate where her life is going. As she tries to clear her head in the middle of the wilderness, a bear arrives at her door, trying to get in: Maddix. Love and mating bonds at first sight. There's really not much plot here. Allison, like Bethany in book 1, already knows about shifters and just has to adjust to being a mate to one. And this is where the series becomes kinda noticeably repetitive. Her details - her dance career, moving from the big city, starting her life over - really don't come to mean anything. It's almost like they're used to introduce her, but otherwise the story is almost exactly the same as book 1, right down to the obnoxious method to 'build tension' with nothing actually happening. Even some of the phrasing to describe how much his mate means to him, how badly he wants her, etc - just the same as book 1!Alternating 1st person POV. No cheating, no love triangles, no OW/OM drama. Very little drama at all, just OTT instalove fated mates. Dual virgin leads (nice change!). While short OTT reads can be nice, light, mindless escapes, this series can tip into predictable, formulaic, and nothing much actually happening. I don't need high drama or high angst, but really, very, very little happened in the individual stories. Still, HEA and epilogues, and while not a cliffhanger, the next brother was introduced.Would I read more? It's not badly written, but there are short SPN romances (even OTT instalove Fated Mates ones) that have a bit more meat to the plot and stick in the mind a bit more, seem less interchangeable. But hey - free Kindle find, so maybe if there are more Snow books free on Kindle, why not. Like I said, it wasn't bad. It just w

Hard.Long.Looking like another limb.Maddix was the epitome of what the word male meant. "BEARly Mated to the Grizzly" is the story of Allison and Maddix.Ha. This third-limb-phallus book has a ex-ballerina heroine who goes to the woods to lick her wounds, but finds her bear-shifter-mate with his dong out instead.Short insta love romance with no drama and a sweet HEA.Safe2.5/5

This is a great read, awesome book..Allison once a ballet dancer, life changed in a instance once she broke her ankle. Now depressed and not happy with her life, Allison knows she need a to chance her life. To get away from the city and find her "happy" again. A week away in a secluded cabin is what she needs.Maddix goes off on his weekly hike in the mountains , but this time gets a scent of his mate. He finds her in a small cabin by herself, in his bear form no less scares her. The first meeting did not go like Maddox always dreamed, but Allison is not scared of him. She also feels the connection to him. Both knowing they are ment to be together that they complete eachother they will not fight these feelings but accept it all.

Meh !! It was sooo VANiLLA ! Not that it's a bad flavour, but this one was way too sweet and happy happy for my liking. Too fast, too rushed..

Maddix is a bear shifter in search of his fated mate. He’s super ready to lose his VCard. Allison is always alone and an injury has robbed her of a much loved career in ballet. She goes to the woods to "clear her head" and think , where Maddix is at too, clearing his head.He goes crazy insane because he knows she is his mate while Allison has to figure out what's going on. Their path to true love is a rollercoaster ride and it's intense and beautiful. This was an awesome addition to the series and I can't wait for book 3 .My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

Umm....I honestly can't tell if this was supposed to be smut or not. There's the whole "Mine" possessive shifter thing, but it never really turns into much. The foreplay is honestly really pathetic. Lots of almost touches and talking about eventually claiming for pages and pages and that's about it. Then like three thrusts and the end. It's not long enough to really build any kind of romance, and it's not hot enough to be worthwhile smut, so I just don't get the point.

Another quick and steamy read from this series. Honestly, I don’t think that I will ever get enough of these possessive shifters finding their mates!Blog | Instagram | Twitter

Another bear brother finds his mate. This is book two of the Bear Clan series about a group of six bear shifter brothers who are on quests to find their mates. Each book is a complete standalone, although I find it more fun to read them in order. The last book of the series was just released, so I'm reading them all again in order and taking the time to review each one. This is a short story of the bear shifter and the ballerina who meet when she stabs him in the arm with a knife; I think that says it all. It's instalove goodness and awesome. Just buy it and read it!This is a safe read with no cheating and no Ow/OM nonsense. It has explicit language and sex. There is also a growly bear who meets his sassy mate. I one click Jenika Snow and I recommend anyone looking for a fun, quick read do the same.

Genre: Paranormal Romance Type: Standalone book 2 of Bear Clan series POV: First Person - Dual Rating: After an injury took Allison away from her passion, her life never felt fulfilled. Needing a break from the grind of the city, she decided on a quiet escape in the mountains. Little did she know what waiting for her would change everything. Maddix was done being patient and he was ready to claim what’s his. I’d claim her and I’d do it hard, fast, so she knew that there was no escaping. I wouldn’t let her go. I wouldn’t be easy and gentle. I enjoyed the first book in this series and was looking forward to Maddix’s book because he was supposed to be the wildest/roughest among the brothers. Unfortunately this book didn’t meet my expectations. “I need to feel your pussy clench around me, milking my cock and drawing the cum from my balls.” I felt there were too many recycling from book 1. Readers were told over and over (and over) again how the bear shifter’s only goal in life is to find his mate. Then there were the unnecessary long stretch of nothing before the actual claiming happened. And when it actually happened it wasn’t as wild as I was hoping. “There really is no going back now,” he whispered as he shallowly thrust in and out of me. “Because wherever you are I’ll come for you. Overall, I was expecting more. I wonder if the same formula is going to be recycled for the rest of the book in the series too. From the end of this book, the next brother might make a different move. I certainly hope the author will inject something fresh in the next book. 4 fated stars!Another fun, quick read about an over the top, possessive, alpha male, reclusive, bear shifter waiting for his fated mate to enter his life.I enjoyed their hilarious "meet cute" of Maddix scaring the bejesus out of Allison by showing up at her back door in bear form. If you're in the mood for fate taking over and putting two lives together then grab this short story. Like any novella, this one was too short and I would have loved for it to play out longer, but I enjoyed it fully for what it was. Two young loves who have waited for each other, a alpha male that claims his mate at first sight and their undeniable attraction to each other. I just wish that there was more time between the two with Maddix in his bear form. "There has never been anyone for me but you, baby. And that's how it'll be until the day I die."
