His Model Student

4.7
Chapter 33
"Either get your clothes off and get on that couch, or you can leave and not come back." When Sera’s new art teacher mistakes her for a model and demands that she strip naked, sparks start to fly. Will Mr Marek be able to keep his student at arm’s length after seeing everything she has to offer? And what happens when his malicious, scheming ex-girlfriend appears on the scene? *************** His Model Student Chapter 1 "Get undressed and hurry up about it. Immediately. You’ve already kept us waiting. " Steel-dark eyes glowered into hers. Taken aback, Sera struggled to speak. "But…" "I don’t want any excuses. You’re late enough as it is. " "But I’m not…" "Either get your clothes off and get on that couch, or you can leave and not come back. " "If I could just…" "Now! " Afterwards, Sera was never quite sure why she complied. It was partly because she was so shocked and embarrassed by the whole situation and intimidated by the man’s furious, commanding voice. It was also because she felt pretty angry herself: he refused to even give a chance to explain herself. If she obeyed his order, he would end up being forced to make a humiliating apology. And - although she couldn’t quite admit it to herself - he was devastatingly attractive. Tall and broad shouldered, with black, tousled hair and a chiselled jaw, he looked nothing like the "Miss E Fotheringay" who was supposed to be taking Life Drawing Course No 46 at Edenvale Community Art Centre. Who the hell was he? And why was he so angry? Taking off her clothes seemed like the only weapon she had. If nothing else, it would be a good lesson in empathy for the models she was going to be painting over the next few weeks. Sera had often wondered what it must be like for them: stuck in awkward positions for hours on end, naked and scrutinised by a roomful of people. She hurriedly pulled her clothes off behind the screen. She wasn’t the world’s most confident person when it came to her body: she would have preferred slightly fewer curves and a couple of inches extra height. But this was an art class, not a fashion catwalk, and she knew that life models ranged widely in age, size and shape. It was only as Sera slipped on a thin silk kimono, conveniently hung over the top, that she realised she was about to be stark naked for the first time before a roomful of strangers. They had blurred into the back...

The Two Mr. Kings

Chapter 25
Eden was 15 when she met her new neighbors Harper and Jasper King, the billionaire brothers who her alcoholic abusive mother has her eyes on. Eden expected them to be like all the other men who walked into her life. They surprise her by being nice and understanding. Now that Eden is 19, she thinks of them as brothers but do they think of her as a sister now that she is an adult, especially after seeing something she shouldn't have? *************** The Two Mr. Kings Prologue "Eden, sweetie, come downstairs and meet our new neighbors," My mother calls from downstairs sounding nice for once but I know it's an act. "Coming! " I yell, checking my braces for the 10th time since I got them earlier. Now I have something else to make me look like a total freak as if acne wasn't enough. Staring at myself in the mirror, I try to ignore the small red dot on my forehead and chin. I stare at the Hazel eyed girl looking back at me trying to find something remotely beautiful about myself. Before heading downstairs, I brush my dark brown wavy hair once more before accepting the fact that my hair has a vendetta against me. I usually don't like meeting my mother's friends because I'm shy and would rather stay in my room while some man tries to get my mother to like him straight to the bedroom, but she has already told me twice that she wants me to meet our new neighbors so I have too. She usually wouldn't include me and if she called me down it was only to criticize me or make me feel ugly. So what's so special about them anyways besides the fact that they have money? From the brief back story she gave me this morning, one of them is 23 and the other is 25, both are extremely rich from some type of family business. My mother has money, but it's mostly from the divorce so she is always searching for another source to fund her lifestyle. My dad pays child support and most of the money goes to her or my schooling. If I want something, she buys it though, but only to make up for how horrid she is. As I'm coming down, I see the backs of two men standing in front of my mom who has on her tiny tennis dress even though she doesn't play tennis anymore. My stomach knots a little in anticipation as the presence of the two men seems strong and intimidating especially to a 15-year-old. "Oh there you are sweet," I walk around the men and stand by her side letting her wrap her arm around my shoulders. "Sweetie, you should have...

Or will it be better to let it go? *************** Caught Up in Between: Us (Book #2) Chapter 1 It’s like in that moment the whole universe existed just to bring us together. © Serendipity I was running out of time. I was late, and I had no idea what to do. To think about it, I even thought that it was my lucky day. Today I had another job interview, and it went well. Like really well. But I was afraid to jinx my luck because it was my fifth since the moment I came to live in New York almost a month ago. Now I really doubted my decision to move here. Before that, I worked as an editor in a small publishing agency in Miami. I liked my job there, and my chief was happy with my work, but I wanted more. I wanted to follow my dreams and to work for some big publishing house. That’s why six months ago, I decided it was time to move forward with my life. It wasn’t easy. I was living in Miami for four years since I had graduated from college. I had a life there, friends, and even my rented apartment felt like it was mine. It was time when my last relationship just ended, and I had a big talk with Chase. He was lecturing me on not following my dreams at first, and then he just said that I need to come to New York. The heck I knew, what happened to me at this moment, but I agreed. I announced at my work that I would go to New York in 6 months. Everything went according to the plan. I finished all of my current assignments. I met all of my closest friends and told them about my decision. My parents weren’t thrilled to hear about my desire to move to NY. Mom liked visiting me, and she was happy with my life in Miami. As always, I had my dad on my side. He supported me, even if he was nervous about it too. Chase proposed to me to stay at his house as long as I will need it, and I took him on this offer. So now I was living with him and his wife, Jenny, at their house in Brooklyn. He was my friend for almost eight years. I visited him a few times, so it wasn’t surprising that he invited me to his wedd...

Chapter 32
Abigail Delaney, the youngest female servant of the Williams household came with the intention to work for a period of time in order to save up enough money to pay for her mother's surgery. Unintentionally, she fell in love with the only son and heir to the Williams empire, Liam Williams. It took just one night to lose her virginity to him. And later discovering she was pregnant, she decided to leave and never return. Hopefully, Liam will never find out that she left with his heir. *************** The Secret Babies Prologue Abigail started working as a maid in The Williams's mansion a couple of months ago in order to earn money to pay for her mum's surgery. Sarah, her mother, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Unintentionally, She developed feelings for Liam Williams, the only son and heir to The Williams's empire. Liam was also attracted to her but they both decided to ignore the tingling sensations and sparks that flew between them. Abigail kept reminding herself that she was there to work and earn, not to fall in love. Fortunately and unfortunately, they unleashed their burning desire in one night. They broke the rule, they had sex and words couldn't describe how amazing it felt for both of them. The next morning, Abigail woke up in her room in the servant quarters. Instead of opening her eyes to see Liam beside her, she saw a paper. The paper was not so neatly folded, and out of curiosity, she reached for it and opened it. She blushed when she saw the unique cursive handwriting. It was Liam's, and she could recognize it anywhere. As soon as she started reading the words scribbled on the paper, her blush disappeared, and from nowhere, a big tear rolled down her cheek. Liam made it clear that what happened between them was a mistake that should never have occurred, so she should forget that something like that ever took place. Abby tore the paper into big pieces, squeezed them all together, and threw it across her room in anger, not caring where it landed. Then she buried her face in her pillow and cried... Seconds became minutes, and days became weeks. Abigail made several attempts to talk to Liam, but he always ignored her and treated her as if she never existed, until he left for his master's degree without saying goodbye. A few weeks later, Abigail started having a series of morning sickness which Rubi noticed. Rubi Williams was the Woman of the house, the mother of Liam and Anna Williams and Wife to Robert Williams. She was a loving and ca...

However, she is thrown into a loop when she becomes the assistant to the owner of the magazine, Ethan Sawyer. Mysterious and controlling, Ethan pushes Thea to her breaking point with his serious control issues that seem to only be directed to her. Just when she is ready to throw in the towel, Ethan shows Thea another side of himself, introducing her to a world she never knew existed. Will she run for the hills or step into the new world with Ethan? *************** Pleasing the Boss Chapter 1 Assistant Needed! International Men Magazine. Mon-Fri 9-7. Some overtime required. No experience required. On-the-job training available after hiring. Negotiable pay. Excellent benefits! A background check will be performed. Professional wear. Call to set up an interview at 212-555-8128. I called the moment I saw the ad in the newspaper while sitting in the park eating a hotdog from a sketchy street-side cart. I had been looking for a job for a month now, and the reality of being homeless was creeping up faster than I expected. I've only been living in New York for 6 months and was working as a nanny until the wife accused me of flirting with her husband. She fired me right on the spot without even hearing me out. I was more than prepared to blurt out that her husband was actually sleeping with the housekeeper that showed up at 10 a. m. on the dot, just in time for him to come home for some mid-morning delight. Spanish sex screams and loud grunting would spill down from the master bedroom as I buckled baby Emily in her stroller to go to the park. Hell, if I'd known I'd get fired without a chance, I would have surely had my fill of the man. But honestly, I would never do such a thing. However, it doesn't mean I haven't thought about it. After booking my interview, I hurried home to my rundown apartment that had been broken into twice. Nothing was ever stolen, and that was only because the burglar most likely realized that I had nothing of value. A full-size bed doubled as a couch and dining table in the middle of the living room. My clothes, still in suitcases, because I'm too afraid to put them in the closet where there's a dangerous amount of mold. When I moved into the shit hole, I purchased 3 cans of bug spray to fumigate the place, which probably put me in danger of some sort of chemically induced cancer when I'm 40. I'd like to think I got this place for a steal, but that would be a lie. The old pervert land...

Chapter 62
When Mia Eaton takes a secretarial job at Whitaker and Whitaker in order to make ends meet, she has no idea what she's getting into. Between the two brothers who run the marketing company, Beau Whitaker and Sam Whitaker, her resolve to never get involved with the boss will be pushed to the limits. When she discovers neither of them have the same rules about mixing business with pleasure, shy and withdrawn Mia may just be in for the ride of her life. *************** Her Sexy Billionaire Boss Chapter One: Waiting Room The waiting room was crowded. Mia Eaton wasn’t sure where to sit. She didn’t really want to get into anyone else’s personal space, but she didn’t have much of a choice. The receptionist barked at her, “I said you can take a seat. ” Mia turned and smiled at her, having heard her the first time, but still pondering where to sit. Finally, she decided to take the chair between a large busted blonde and an older brunette who looked as nervous as Mia felt. It was a tight squeeze because the chairs were so close together. With her small build, it was easy to wedge her way in, but it was still uncomfortable. She sat with her legs squeezed together, her meager resume clutched tightly within the leather binder she’d borrowed from her neighbor, praying one of the girls sitting next to her was called back soon. “Linda McKay! ” a short woman with a severe haircut shouted from the door next to the receptionist. An attractive redhead sitting across the room stood up and walked to the door her head held high as if she had plenty of experience applying for secretarial positions and knew exactly what to expect. Mia sucked in air. She did not. In fact, she’d never had any sort of secretarial job before at all. She’d dropped out of college after finishing her sophomore year to take care of her sick mother. She’d had to support both of them, too, and she’d done that by working as a cashier at a gas station near their home in a suburb of Chicago. But now that her mother had passed away, and Mia had sold everything in order to afford the first few months of rent on a small apartment, she knew it was now or never. She had been on a few interviews but not for secretarial positions. Just a sales and a custodial position she almost hoped she didn’t get. She knew she wouldn’t be able to sell water to a man dying in the dessert, and she wouldn’t want to clean up after the residents in the nursing home either. No, as badly ...

The Pride of Jared MacKade (The MacKade Brothers 2) Read Free FOR JARED, WOULD IT BE COLD PRIDE -- OR WARM BRIDE?Jared MacKade was used to getting his way -- especially when it came to women -- but he was getting exactly nowhere with Savannah Morningstar. The lady was drop-dead gorgeous, and she had a drop-dead attitude that was wreaking havoc with his pride. And when a MacKade's pride got stepped on, there was bound to be hell to pay....THE MACKADE BROTHERS: Looking for trouble and always finding it. Now they're on a collision course with love. *************** Prologue The woods echoed with war whoops and running feet. Troops were fully engaged in the battle, peppering the fields beyond the trees with sporadic shelling. The day rang with the crash of weapons and the cries of the wounded. Already dozens of lives had been lost, and the survivors were out for blood. Leaves, still lush and green from the dying summer, formed a canopy overhead, allowing only thin, dusty beams of sunlight to trickle through. The air was thick and humid and carried the rich scent of earth and animal in its blistering heat. There was no place Jared MacKade was happier than in the haunted woods. He was a Union officer, a captain. He got to be captain because, at twelve, he was the oldest, and it was his right. His troops consisted of his brother Devin, who, being ten, had to be content with the rank of corporal. Their mission was clear. Annihilate the Rebels. Because war was a serious business, Jared had plotted out his strategy. He'd chosen Devin for his troops because Devin could follow orders. Devin was also a good thinker. And Devin was a vicious take-no-prisoners hand-to-hand fighter. Rafe and Shane, the other MacKade brothers, were ferocious fighters too, but they were, Jared knew, impulsive. Even now, they were racing through the woods, whooping and hollering, while Jared waited patiently in ambush. "They're going to separate, you watch," Jared muttered as he and Devin hunkered down in the brush. "Rafe figures on drawing us out and clobbering us." Jared spit, because he was twelve and spitting was cool. "He doesn't have a military mind." "Shane doesn't have a mind at all," Devin put in, with the expected disdain of brother for brother. They grinned over that, two young boys with disheveled black hair and handsome faces that were grimy with dirt and sweat. Jared's eyes, a cool grassy green, scanned the woods. He knew every rock, every stump, every beaten path. Often he came here alone, to wander or just to sit. And to listen. To the wind in the trees, the rustle of squirrels and rabbits. To the murmur of ghosts. He knew others had fought here, died here. And it fascinated him. He'd grown up on the Civil War battlefield of Antietam, Maryland, and he knew, as any young boy would, the maneuvers and mistakes, the triumphs and tragedies of that fateful day in September 1862. A battle that had earned its place in history as the bloodiest day of the Civil War was bound to

The Unexpected Baby

Chapter 38
The Unexpected Baby Read Free *************** CHAPTER ONE ‘WHAT took you so long?’ Jed’s eyes gleamed with sultry promise beneath heavy half-closed lids, his gorgeous mouth curving sensually as he invited, ‘Come back to bed, Mrs Nolan. And take that thing off. Pretty it may be, but your body’s a darn sight prettier.’ Elena couldn’t meet his eye. She felt sick. She told herself it was shock, or auto-suggestion. She stuffed her hands in the side pockets of the silk wrap she’d dragged on before leaving the bathroom so he wouldn’t see how much they were trembling. Her mouth went dry just looking at him. He was her love, her life, everything. He made her feel special, secure, treasured. The sheet tangled around his lean hips was the only thing between him and total nakedness. Six foot three of superbly honed masculinity, with a sizzling, whitehot sexual magnetism that jumped out and hit her. For a thirty-six-year-old business man—a shopkeeper, Sam had once half mockingly described him—he had the body of an athlete and a face that only just missed classical perfection, courtesy of a slight bump at the bridge of his nose—broken on the rugby field—and a tough, pugnacious jaw. Sam’s name in her mind made her want to scream. How could she have been so reckless? She had thought she’d known what she was doing, when in reality she’d known nothing at all, just gone ahead in her usual pig-headed fashion, wanting it all. Everything. And how could she bring herself to break the news to Jed? Put something like that into the pure beauty of their marriage? The short answer was she couldn’t. Not yet, anyway. Not while the irrefutable evidence was a scant ten minutes old, burning holes in her brain. Her heart punched savagely at her breastbone as with a whimper of distress she discarded her wrap, flew impulsively to the bed and flung herself down beside him. Wrapping her body around him, she whispered with soft ferocity, ‘I love you... I love you...’ ‘Still? After a whole week of marriage?’ Teasing silver lights danced deep in his lazily hooded eyes as he smoothed the long golden silk of her hair away from her face, and Elena said, her voice tight with anguish, ‘Don’t mock me, Jed. Don’t!’ ‘As if!’ His smile was soft, melting her, as he eased her onto her back, propping himself up on one elbow, his beautifully proportioned body half covering hers. Thick dark hair tumbled over his forehead, the curve of his mouth a sinful seduction as he gently rubbed his thumb over her full lips. Tears misted her eyes. She had never believed she could love someone so much it hurt. Or that she could ever be this afraid. For ten years she had been afraid of no one, and nothing. She’d known what she wanted and sweated blood to get it. And now, because of a moment of reckless, arrogant folly, she had turned herself into a frightened wreck, full of dread. ‘Something’s wrong,’ he said gently, a slight frown pulling dark brows together now. ‘Tell me, my darling.’ She couldn’t! Not yet, not

Off Limits Neighbor Read Free I'm supposed to stay away from the trouble-making hot guy next door. But what if he comes knocking?I grew up in a tiny cul-de-sac lovingly dubbed "Rejects Corner."Potholes, broken pipes, fallen trees, it was a dump, but my parents never minded.Nothing bothered them except the boys next door.Trouble making teens. Wicked rumors. In short? Danger danger, keep away.My stupid heart demanded I crush hard on one of them, but I was smart enough to keep it a secret until I grew up and moved away. Now I'm back in little Rejects Corner to help my parents fix up their house to sell. And right across the street, hotter than ever, muscles from his calves to his chest...Is the one boy I'm supposed to stay away from.I did it before. When he knocks on my door, flashing me a perfect smirk, I don't think I can again. *************** 1 Klara The car door slams closed behind me, and I’m left staring in disbelief, standing in the middle of the cul-de-sac. No wonder I questioned myself the entire drive about whether or not I actually wanted to do this. The houses in front of me are…run down, to say the least. I didn’t remember it this way. In my memories, ours hadn’t been the nicest house, or even in the nicest neighborhood, but it was average. What I’m looking at right now is the kind of place that you’d quickly drive past. The kind of place that you quietly ignore and warn your kids to avoid. Has it always been this way? I’m honestly not sure. But there’s definitely a part of me that realizes that there’s no way a cul-de-sac can degrade this much over five years. That I was definitely blind to the truth of it when I moved away. The day I turned eighteen I moved out and never even thought about coming back. Nothing was more important than getting the hell out of Reject’s Corner. That’s what this place was called by everyone. But this is so much worse than I remember. Slowly, I turn in a circle and take everything in. All five houses. My parents’ house definitely seems to be in the worst shape, and I understand why the city has given them an ultimatum to fix it or else they’ll condemn it. I mean, my parents haven’t even lived in this house for a few years, that should have tipped me off that things were pretty bad. There aren’t many signs of life from the other houses, a big difference from my childhood when we’d all ride our bikes around and play ball in the street. Why do they want to fix up this place? Why not just let the city raze it, or just sell it? Thank goodness that everything I need to repair the place has already been ordered, otherwise the task in front of me would be impossible. Hell, I haven’t even looked inside yet and already I doubt I have the skills and the time to save my parents’ house. And then there are the other houses… Dad, looking for an investment to fund his and Mom’s retirement, bought the neighboring houses for a steal, hoping to turn this shabby cul-de-sac into some sort of shabby chic cul-de-sac getaway. As if.

Lady Star (Sir Edward 2) Read Free *************** Chapter One ON THE SEACOAST road to Rye, in the midst of a summer’s hazy day, stood Sir Edward Danton. His uncovered head of silver tinged ginger colored hair blew around his lean and handsome face. His lightweight, neatly tailored and soberly fitted blue coat was in some disarray with one sleeve torn and a lapel badly smeared with grime. His attention was on the rise and fall of the breakers and his uncovered hands were clasped tightly at his back. Behind him, in a deep and narrow ditch, one could see the sad semblance of his hired coach. One of the two horses that had pulled it into its present predicament stood grazing and hobbled not far off. The driver had ridden the other coach horse into town to seek help. If this situation was not enough to trouble a man of Sir Edward’s stamp, the ordeal he had just been through certainly was. His life had just been thrown into chaos. The morning had started in a thrillingly delicious manner. He had abducted the lady of his choice and was set on marrying her willy-nilly. He had truly believed that she loved him and wanted to be swept off her feet. How could he have been such a fool? She didn’t want him. She didn’t want to be swept off her feet by him. This had not been driven home until it was too late. His day had come dramatically to a halt with his coach in a ditch and his lady love in the arms of another. He was bruised of heart, mind and body. He was, for the first time in his adult life, left confused, dazed and insecure. He had lost her to nothing less than a duke—Lord Wildfire himself. There was some solace in that, but the loss of Lady Babs was deeply felt all the same. He had been enchanted with Lady Babs. He found her delightful of mind and character. He also found her desirable and thought she actually wanted him, but was playing a game. His pride had taken a throttling and his heart had taken a beating. He had now to take a long hard look at himself and what he saw, he found he no longer liked. It came home to him that he knew she wasn’t really enamored with him. He hadn’t cared. What sort of man had he become? Was he so spoiled that he only looked to his own needs? Somewhere along the way, he had lost the man he had been and had become a stranger to himself. It was no wonder Lady Babs had rejected him so roundly. To be sure, he felt ill used. Had Lady Babs not teased him—led him a playful dance while she flirted outrageously with him? Indeed, he had been smitten, but the question remained—had he been truly in love. How could he have been in love and not seen that she loved another? How could he have been in love and not really taken her needs into consideration? Had he decided to abduct her because in his heart he knew that was the only way he could make her his own? Yes, the answer was a slap in the face—yes! What had he been thinking? He hadn’t been thinking—that was the trouble. He believed, or thought he believed that given her impetuou

Wild Heat (Hot Shots: Men of Fire 1) Read Free HE'S A HOTSHOT FIREFIGHTER ADDICTED TO RISK. SHE'S THE SULTRY BEAUTY HE NEVER SAW COMING.Maya Jackson doesn't sleep with strangers. Until the night grief sent her to the nearest bar and into the arms of the most explosive lover she's ever had. Six months later, the dedicated arson investigator is coming face to face with him again. Gorgeous, grinning Logan Cain. Her biggest mistake. Now her number-one suspect in a string of deadly wildfires. Risking his life on a daily basis is what gets Logan up in the morning. As leader of the elite Tahoe Pines Hotshot Crew, he won't back down from a blaze-or from beautiful, lethal Maya Jackson. She may have seduced him with her tears and her passion, but it'll be a cold day in hell before Logan lets down his guard again. Until Maya's life is threatened. With his natural-born hero instincts kicking in, Logan vows to protect the woman sworn to bring him down. And as desire reignites, nothing-not the killer fire or the killer hot on their trail-can douse the flames.... *************** CHAPTER ONE MAYA JACKSON was going to find the bastard who'd killed her little brother and she was going to make him pay. But first she had to take care of the details. The stupid, goddamned details. She turned the key in the lock of Tony's cottage on the edge of the Tahoe National Forest and her throat grew tight. How could he be dead? Gone. As of Tuesday, November 15, 2:09 A.M., Tony was nothing but ashes, the remains of his bones and skin and spirit lost in the rubble of an apartment building on Lake Tahoe Boulevard. Three days ago he'd walked through flames to save a couple of stoned ski bums. And he'd died a hero. At twenty-three. Tony's landlord needed the place cleared out to show to potential tenants. He'd been nice about it; if she couldn't come for a week or two he'd be happy to stash everything of value in a storage shed behind the building. Maya had wanted to throw the telephone through a window. Everything of value was already gone. Standing on the top slate step, Maya forced herself to open the cottage door. All she needed to do was pack up Tony's T-shirts and jeans and books and shaving cream and she could get the hell out of there. But it wasn't that simple. Because the last time she'd been in Tahoe it had been her brother's birthday. Two months ago he'd been having the time of his life up in the Sierras, fighting fires, bagging babes, hitting the slopes when the powder was fresh. Images of her brother and father tangled up inside her head as she held on to the doorknob like it was a lifeline. Judd Jackson had also been a firefighter. A hotshot, one of the elite who put out the fires everyone else ran from. As a kid she'd marked time by her father's presence. For six months he'd be there every day. Making her breakfast. Taking her to school. Kicking a soccer ball with her and Tony in the backyard until they were called in to dinner. She'd loved falling asleep to the roug

And so, like every girl to ever walk this earth, I dreamed of visiting this Golden State. I wanted to run along the sand of Venice Beach, to press my hands on my favorite celebrities’ stars on the Walk of Fame, to one day stand behind the Hollywood Sign and look out over the beautiful city. That and all the other lame tourist must-dos. With one earphone in, my attention half on the music humming into my ear and half on the conveyor belt rotating in front of me, I try my hardest to find a spot clear enough for me to grab my luggage. While the people around me shove and chat loudly with their partners, yelling that their luggage just went past and the other yelling back that it wasn’t actually their luggage, I roll my eyes and focus on the khaki suitcase nearing me. I can tell it’s mine by the lyrics scrawled along its side, so I grab the handle and yank it off as quickly as I can. “Over here!” a familiar voice calls. My father’s astoundingly deep voice is half drowned out by my music, but no matter how loud the volume, I would probably still hear him from a mile away. His voice is too irritatingly painful to ignore. When Mom first broke the news to me that Dad had asked me to spend the summer with him, we both found ourselves in a fit of laughter at the sheer insanity of it all. “You don’t have to go anywhere near him,” Mom reminded me daily. Three years of hearing nothing and suddenly he wanted me to spend the entire summer with him? All he had to do was maybe start calling me once in a while, ask me how I was doing, gradually ease h

Few entered a graveyard in the dead of night when the sky was clear and the moon full. Many believed ghosts lurked behind the stone monuments. That the deceased wandered these morbid places searching for the peace denied them in life. When the wind howled, did it not soun

Under a Dom's Care (Extreme 2) Read Free Jake messed up and broke the rules at club, Extreme. He’s paid the price but the punishment still stands, and he cannot touch a sub within the club. One night out with his friend and he meets the raven haired beauty of his dreams. Isabella is a librarian and a virgin. She’s tired of her friends nagging her and so, she sets out a plan. The first man to hold her interest is the man she’s going to lose her virginity to. Big mistake! No matter how much chemistry was between them, losing her cherry against a brick wall was not the stuff of fairytales. There was no way she’d be giving herself to a man any time soon. However, Jake refuses to step down. He’s got a reputation to uphold and he refuses to let her go until he shows her what it really means to be under a Dom’s care. *************** Chapter One Jake Smith stayed away from the other Doms at Extreme, knowing they wouldn’t want anything to do with him. He’d fucked up big with Jesse and Ryan’s relationship. The couple was doing much better without his or her parents’ involvement. Whenever he saw her, there was always a smile on her face. He couldn’t have asked for a better guy for her. The love between the two was clear to see to anyone looking at them. Running his fingers through his hair, he glanced around the club to see if anyone needed his help. He’d been banned from the dungeon and the BDSM part of the club. This section was strictly for dancing and drawing in more couples of the lifestyle. He leaned against the wall in the far corner and watched the room, wishing for a better way to entertain himself on a Friday night. Couples who entered the front immediately made their way for the far door to enter the elevator to take them down to the playrooms. You fucked up and you can’t even get play with a willing sub. There were always men and women available for every Dom to service. For the last few months, since telling Jesse’s father, he’d been banned from being inside the club. His Dom status still remained but he couldn’t do anything other than monitor the dance club. Two months of nothing and he was getting ready to burst from the pressure. “Are you okay, man?” Nick Clark asked. He glanced toward the only person willing to talk to him. To him, it felt like he no longer possessed any friends. No one trusted him, which he couldn’t blame anyone but himself. “I’m fine. Watching a bunch of kids grind against themselves is not my idea of fun.” Looking out on the dance floor, he saw a blonde dancing between two men. “Why did you go tattling? It was fucked up.? ? Nick stood beside him so they were both facing the floor. “I got caught up in it all. I’ve been taking care of Jesse for so long and then I got worried. Her father started asking questions and before I knew it I told him.” Shaking his head, Jake turned to glance at his friend. “I fucked up bad. Now, I’m paying the price.” “You’re going to have to earn back all of the other Doms’ trust. The club su

For four and a half months, I tried to drum some rudimentary knowledge of art history into freshman brains. Some of them got it; most of them, even. The ones who truly fell in love with some of the paintings and sculptures they'd seen--they're the students who make TAing feel like it's all been worthwhile. But then there are kids like this one, who didn't even manage to absorb anything about Michelangelo, and who also appears to think that the Renaissance started in Germany. No wonder, since he skipped a ton of classes and probably spent the others checking Facebook on his laptop. I only provided the short fill-in-the-blank section to provide a few easy, slam-dunk answers to boost the students' confidence before they dove into the exam proper. Maybe it worked that way for most of the kids, but wow, not so much here. As I reach for my red pen, the phone rings. Glancing over, I see a name glowing on the screen: JONAH MARKS. At once I start to smile. "Hey, you," I murmur as I tuck the phone between my shoulder and ear. "Vivienne. Hi. I wanted to check in, see what you were doing." Jonah's voice has always had an effect on me. He speaks with such cool, assured command, even in simple moments like this. I found him forbidding, once. Even frightening. Now I know and love the good man inside him, the one he's had to fight so hard to be. Jonah's a seismologist and volcanologist. The profession suits him. He's like the mountains he studies--strong and silent, but incredible heat, power, and danger simmer just beneath the surface. I know his most forbidden fantasies because I share them. "Just grading finals here on campus," I tell him. "This stack should be my last of the semester, though." "Do you think you might be free by later this afternoon?" He pauses, savoring the anticipation that is building between us both. "If so, I'm in the mood for a game." We haven't been back at our games for all that long. The weeks without sharpened my hunger, honed the edges of my desire. Now I hear that same need within Jonah, and I can't imagine how we ever held off, even for a day. "Yeah," I whisper. "I'm free." "I'm the only one in this wing of the building today. That's unlikely to change. So the stairwells are empty. Mostly dark. Potentially dangerous." He means that these are places where a woman could get caught alone. Where someone could take advantage. And that's exactly what I want from him. We both get off hardest when we pretend this is a rape. He's the attacker. I'm the victim. When our games begin, I hand control over to Jonah. The only power I have is contained in our safe word, silver. Although I've designed a few of our scenarios, often I leave it up to him, which is what I do now. This is the first, subtlest moment of my surrender. I ask only one question. "When?" "Four P.M. Here's the

Mile High (Up in the Air 2) Read Free *************** CHAPTER ONE I took a deep breath, then winced. I was trying to enjoy basking in the Miami sun, but I was still a little sore. It had been over a month now since I’d sustained my injuries. I was fit enough to work now, but I still got occasional reminders of what had happened to me when I moved or breathed just wrong. My phone chimed that I had a new text message, and I winced again. I needed to remember to keep it in the off position. It helped me to delay the inevitable. I reached down to the concrete below my pool lounge chair, gripped my phone, and held down the off button until it powered off. Just seconds later, I heard the Kings of Leon song that served as Stephan’s ringtone begin to play. He sighed heavily from his lounge chair beside me, then rose, heading into the hotel bar that was nearest the pool. If I hadn’t been sure my text was from James, I was now. It was his pattern lately. He would call Stephan after failing to get ahold of me. And for some odd reason, Stephan felt obliged to answer his calls. It had been the cause of an unusual new tension that had sprung up between us. A different figure loomed over me a moment later, casting a shadow as it hovered near the seat that Stephan had just vacated. “Mind if I join you, Bee?” Damien asked in his heavy Australian accent. I didn’t open my eyes from behind my dark shades, but I recognized his voice easily enough. I made a humming noise that meant I didn’t care, and he lounged beside me. Stephan and I had had to call in several big favors from another crew to get to Miami for our layover. But I had wanted so desperately to avoid New York this week that Stephan had made it happen. Somehow Captain Damien and First Officer Murphy had managed to do the same, after Stephan had casually mentioned in a text that we would be missing our New York trip for the week. At first, I’d thought it was rather stalker-ish of them, but more and more, the two men were growing on me. Damien had made no overtures. He was, in fact, great company for a person who just wanted some peace and quiet. He had no problem being comfortably silent, occasionally making light-hearted comments that drew me out of my black moods. And he was accompanied by Murphy more often than not. Murphy could make anyone laugh. Even me in the depressed mood that was dogging me lately. “That cover-up is gonna give you an interesting tan line,” Damien said in an amused tone. I wore a black swimsuit coverup that went to the top of my thighs. I wore it over my plain black bikini. The coverup was see-through, but it was just dark enough to mostly obscure the faint traces of bruises that still patterned my torso in a stark reminder of the violence I’d survived just weeks ago. They had faded considerably, but they were still dark enough to need covering. I would draw unwanted attention if I bared my skin for all to see. I’d already gotten enough unwanted attention lately. Edge of Dawn (Midnight Breed 11) Read Free In this pulse-pounding and thrillingly sensual novel, New York Times bestselling author Lara Adrian returns to the mesmerizing world of the Midnight Breed, following new characters into a dark future where an uneasy peace can unravel into war—and a great betrayal can mask an all-consuming love.   Twenty years after the terror of First Dawn—when mankind learned that vampires lived secretly among them—the threat of violence reigns as the two species struggle to coexist. The only group preserving the fragile harmony is the Order, an elite cadre of Breed warriors dedicated to protecting humans and vampires alike. And in this precarious world of torn loyalties and shattered trust, Mira, a fiery squad captain, finds that every fight bears an intensely personal cost.   Raised among the Order, Mira has always believed in the warrior’s code of swift—and even lethal—justice. But the one thing she desires more than the Order’s hard-won acceptance is Kellan Archer, a sexy but troubled Breed fighter. In love with him since childhood, Mira once broke through his tough exterior during an unexpected night of rapture, but the next day he mysteriously disappeared, never to return.   Kellan didn’t think he would ever see Mira again—or have to confront the truth of why he left. After abandoning the Order years ago, he now leads a band of human rebels intent on carrying out their own vigilante rule of law. Yet a high-profile kidnapping assignment brings him face-to-face with the past he sought to avoid, and the striking woman he has tried desperately to forget. And as tensions mount and the risk of bloodshed grows, Kellan and Mira must take sides—between the competing missions that dominate their lives, and the electrifying passion that claims their hearts. *************** Chapter One HUMANS. The night was thick with them. They choked the dark sidewalks and intersections of Boston's old North End, overflowed from the open doorways of dance clubs, sim-lounges, and cocktail bars. Strolling, loitering, conversing, they filled the near-midnight streets with too many voices, too many bodies shuffling and sweating in the unseasonable heat of the early June evening. And damned too little space to avoid the anxious sidelong looks - those countless quick, darting glances from people pretending they hadn't noticed, and weren't the least bit terrified, of the four members of the Order who now strode through the middle of the city's former restricted sector. Mira, the lone female of the squad of off-duty warriors, scanned the crowd of Homo sapiens civilians with a hard eye. Too bad she and her companions were wearing street clothes and discreetly concealed weapons. She'd have preferred combat gear and an arsenal of heavy firearms. Give the good citizens of Boston a real excuse to stare in mortal terror. Maid for You (The Billionaire's Maid) Read Free *************** Prologue LILAH Today started out as an excellent day. It started off like any other day. I woke up, made breakfast for my sisters, checked the almanac to see what the forecast for my zodiac sign was. I know. I sound young and immature. I get it. But I believe in not only something higher than me but also in the universe. For instance, when I wake up in the morning, I take a few minutes to meditate. I give myself the time to seek my aura. I believe the colors surrounding my energy are a foreshadowing of my coming day. Which is how I knew today was going to be great and it was. Today is the day I go to the Manhattan Library and read to the children who come from the daycare. It is the best part of my week. I love their smiling inquisitive faces as they listen to the stories and ask questions. Lately, the day has been made better by the frequent visits of Markis. I met him for the first time a month ago when he came in here looking for a book on 16th century literature. The head librarian was at lunch and even though I don’t work here, as a volunteer and frequent reader, I know where everything is, so I offered to find it for him. We spent hours talking about his job as a history and literature teacher for a Community College. His wit, knowledge and charm entranced me. I listened as he regaled me with stories from his travels in England and all across Europe. By the end of the first meeting, he made me promise to be here the same day and time. For the last four weeks, this has been our timeline. Last week, it elevated to lunch across the street and an occasional handhold. He explained over our first lunch that he follows the rules of old. He believes in courting, chastely and earning the hand of his betrothed. Most girls would find it weird and balk at it, but I don’t know, I find it sweet. It certainly lifts the pressure from worrying about kissing and sex. None of which I have any experience with. During our lunch today, he was asking me about my family. I smiled. My family is my safe space. The one place I always fit in. There are eight of us, all girls. My father was a Mexican Immigrant, fresh across the border when he met my mother in a diner in Texas. She often said it was a good thing he had been practicing his English for months before he came because we might not have been born. They were married three months later and living in California. She was nineteen and he was twenty-five. Nine months after they were married, my mom gave birth to Catalina, followed by Margaret, Melinda, Gabriella, Evelyna and then I am an identical twin. My twin sister’s name is Lily. When Luna was two, my dad died from a heart attack. Apparently, he had a defective heart valve, and it went undetected until the day he passed away. My mom was left raising eight rambunctious girls on her own, trying to maintain a life for us. The cleaning business my parents had created was the only source of income and

I couldn’t be happier for them and the life they’ve created. This last year has been hard, so they definitely deserve some happiness shining their way. “Hey, you.” I hear a deep voice behind me. I don’t need to look over my shoulder to know it’s Tyler, but I do anyway. “Hey.” I smile at him. “Sister,” Ridge calls out, finally tearing his eyes from his wife and son to notice they have company. “Brother,” I counter. “Get in here. We have some news.” I’m smiling, but I keep the reason why to myself. Yeah, I already know what he’s about to tell me. “If your smile gets any bigger, your face might crack,” I tease. “Ty, hey, man. Thanks for coming.” Ridge holds his fist out for Tyler as we approach them. Knox concentrates on making a fist and does the same. I’m not surprised; he’s seen his daddy and his uncles make that move hundreds of times. “Happy Birthday, little man.” Tyler bumps his fist with Knox, who giggles. If I look at Kendall, I’m afraid I’ll give away that I received insider information before he did. “Well, two surprises actually.” He holds out his free arm that’s not supporting Knox. Kendall walks into his embrace, and he tugs her close. “We should wait to tell everyone at once,” she tells him. “We’ll tell these two, and then we can tell everyone else together.” “You can wait.” She smiles up at him. “I can’t,” he tells her. “Yeah, the suspense is killing us,” I say, taking Knox from Ridge as he reaches for me. “How’s my favorite nephew?” I ask him, kissing his little cheek. He giggles, and my heart melts. He’s such a happy little boy. That’s not only because of my brother being a kickass dad but because of his wife. Kendall has brought so much to their lives. “Knox, buddy. Show Aunt Reagan your new shirt,” Ridge says with a shit-eating grin. “Did you get a new shirt?” I ask my nephew. My head shakes back and forth like a mindless wind-up toy. Even my body is denying the horror before my eyes. Without warning my knees buckle under me, and I find myself in a heap at the doorway of his flat. Frantically, I begin to crawl toward him, screaming, babbling. I can’t lose him! Not him! Oh God, not him. Please. Not him. Two feet away from his body and it occurs to me: this is just a nightmare. Of course it is. It has to be. Any moment now I’ll wake up. And the first thing I’ll do? Call him and tell him how much I have missed him, how much I love him. I feel the floor scrape against my bare knees. It isn’t a nightmare. It is real. We haven’t spoken for two weeks. I had exams and when I called his mobile, it went straight to voicemail… Shit excuse. I should have called again, I should have emailed. Why hadn’t I? I should have known. I hunker down over his body, my pose ungainly, heavy, that of a suffering beast. My buttocks hit the floor and my legs fold up and cross under me. I press my fingers against my open mouth and stare at him. His lips and fingers are blue and the rest of him is ashen and still. He can’t be dead. It can’t be real! The stillness of a dead body is impossible to describe. And yet when you see it you refuse to believe it. You always think it is a trick. A mistake. A ploy…. But a needle is embedded in his arm, which is blackened with the skin stretched and unreal. It looks as if it belongs elsewhere. That is not my brother’s arm. I know my brother’s arm as intimately as I know my own. My breathing is shallow and trembling. I suck a huge burst of air into my lungs and pull the offending needle out. My stomach twists. It should never have entered his body in the first place. I throw the syringe away. It hits something and rolls on the wooden floor. It also leaves a tiny hole in my brother’s flesh that does not bleed. I swallow hard. My hands are shaking badly. That means he didn’t suffer, a voice whispers in my head. He did not even have time to pull it out before he was gone to wherever it is he went to. Oh God! He is nineteen. He can’t be gone. CPR. I should give him CPR. There must be something I can still do. I grab his shoulders and try to drag him across my thighs, but his body is so heavy, so cold, and so stiff and foreign that my shocked hands fly away from his shoulders as if they have touched fire. With a sob of intolerable, indescribable anguish I reach for him and with every ounce of my might I drag his cold, dead weight toward me and lift it onto my lap. Nova’s shadowy connections and dark talents may be Mathias’s best hope of unmasking a treacherous enemy . . . but falling for a woman with her dangerous past will risk both their hearts and their lives. *************** CHAPTER 1 The night sky over London hung thick and ominous, heavy with black clouds still lingering from the evening’s torrential rainstorm. The downpour had lasted for hours, driving most of the city’s residents inside for shelter. It was an advantage that Mathias Rowan and the three other Order warriors accompanying him on patrol tonight had made full use of, knowing the vampire lair they’d located in Southwark the week before was all but certain to be occupied amid the storm. While Mathias never found it an easy thing to kill his own kind, the nest of blood-addicted Rogues squatting in the derelict brick building had to be terminated. The collection of human bones tossed in a pile in the back room of the foul-smelling lair had been more than ample justification for the Rogues’ executions. Rory Callahan, the warrior behind the passenger seat Mathias occupied in the Order’s black Range Rover, let out a howl. “Damn, those were some sick, Bloodlusting fucks.” Still green and mostly stupid about life, Callahan leaned forward, grinning, the tips of his fangs still visible behind his lip, evidence of the battle rage that had gripped them all during the raid. The youngest of the squad, he hadn’t seen enough death or violence yet to understand how closely every Breed male tread to the madness they’d encountered tonight. From beside Callahan in the backseat, Deacon, the third member of the team exhaled a low, solemn curse. “They’d been killing for a while. Good thing we ashed them before they got tired of draining homeless people and moved uptown where folks were apt to notice the thinning of their herd.” Mathias grunted in grim agreement. Only Liam Thane, the Breed warrior behind the wheel of the speeding vehicle, hadn’t said a word since they’d done their business and left the lair. Mathias had known the male for more than two decades--back when they’d both been part of a different, and since dissolved, policing organization for the Breed. Mathias had served as director in Boston then, and Thane had worked mostly covert ops around Europe and the United Kingdom. While no one would ever call the hulking, black-haired vampire jovial, tonight Thane seemed more pensive than usual. Mathias glanced at him from the passenger seat. Thane’s long hair was gathered in a tail at his nape, accentuating the severe cut of his cheekbones and stern jaw. He stared straight ahead, unblinking, focused on the

You're The One (Very Irresistible Bachelors 1) Read Free *************** Chapter One Hunter “Ready to get out of here?” I asked my best friend, Josie. “Oh, yes.” We were in the Hamptons, attending a brunch one of my clients had thrown to celebrate the Fourth of July. “What time is it, anyway?” Josie murmured. Her eyes widened when she checked her phone. “Hunter, it’s already three o’clock. We won’t make it in time to Amelia’s. She’ll roast our asses for being late.” “Not if we show up with her favorite dessert,” I said. Amelia was my aunt. We had to be at her place in Brooklyn for dinner. “Of course. Bribing people with food is your favorite strategy, after all.” She flashed me a smile. Josie Gallagher knew me like no one else. After bidding our goodbyes, we left the building and hopped into my BMW, passing a plethora of New Yorkers just arriving into the Hamptons. I was glad we were spending the rest of the day with my family. Amelia loved celebrating holidays, and the Fourth of July was one of her favorites. It was an opportunity for everyone to gather—my four cousins, Josie, and me. Amelia was more than an aunt to me. She’d practically raised me. Come to think of it, she’d practically raised Josie too. When we made it over Shinnecock Canal and hit a traffic jam, I wondered how smart it had been to drive into the Hamptons today knowing we had to make it to my aunt’s annual party. But I couldn’t turn the brunch down. I owned one of the largest real estate development companies in the country, and the client who’d invited me was about to sign another deal with me. “Thanks for coming with me today,” I said. She pulled her dark brown hair into a ponytail, flashing me another one of her gorgeous smiles. I routinely asked Josie to join me at events. Everything was just ten times more entertaining when I had my best friend with me. “Anytime. Oh... and if you want to buy my favorite dessert too when you stop to buy Amelia’s, I won’t mind.” “I’ll do that. Any other requests?” “Hey, don’t tempt me.” I laughed, focusing on the road. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Josie looking at her phone. She’d done it a couple of times since we left the brunch. “Why do you keep checking your phone?” “Sent my parents something for the Fourth. It’s a surprise. Can’t wait to hear from them.” “What did you send them?” “Their favorite dessert.” “Who’s bribing who now?” She shrugged one shoulder, smiling from ear to ear. “Hey, we’ve been friends for fifteen years. It was about time I stole some of your tricks. Besides, I’m not bribing them. Just... hoping it’ll motivate them to visit me soon.” Her parents lived in Montana. Josie and I had attended the same school. We’d been friends since she’d gotten into a fight with the school bully and I’d defended her. She’d been fifteen, and I’d been seventeen. Since then, she’d stuck next to me. I’d resented it in the beginning, like any teenager who didn’t want a younger girl shadowing him. But Josie had slipped under my skin

My Darling Stepbrother Read Free Going to a male revue was Sasha's idea. She said it would give us something to do besides sit around gossiping: and it did. We all got a little too crazy, a little too drunk, a little too turned on by the men dancing around us.The next day, I put the night behind me, promising never to speak of it again. Then my mom introduced me to her fiance's son, who just happened to resemble the most popular dancer at the club. And the look on his face said he remembered exactly who I was. *************** 1. “And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Red Thundercock!” The crowd goes wild as the announcer screams the name of the hottest dancer at the club. He’s the entire reason Sasha managed to drag me out here tonight. She yanked up the picture of his abs the club has showcased on their website, along with some other, uh, not-so-suitable pictures. I was wet before the picture finished loading and then we were out the door. Now, surrounded by throngs of screaming women, I’m glad we got here early enough to land spots in the front row. I almost feel sorry for the women at the back of the room who can't see what I'm seeing. I'm almost close enough to touch. Almost. Red comes out, surrounded by smoke and lights, dressed like a super-sexy soldier. He rips his top and pants off to the beat of the music, revealing his thick, girthy cock. The only thing separating me from his dick is a thin layer of satin. Well, that and the glare from the security guard standing just to my left. I’m sure he’s used to girls trying to climb on stage. His eyes warn me silently that he’s watching me, just waiting for an excuse to kick me out of the club. I don’t care. My line of vision has narrowed. The only thing I see is Red and his bouncing, hard cock. Sasha grips my arm as she licks her lips. She’s watching it, too, money firmly gripped in her hand. The dance becomes more elaborate and soon Red is wearing nothing but the suit he was born in. Once his full cock comes into view, the crowd gets even crazier. "Horny bitches," I hear Sasha mutter under her breath. The screams get even louder as women start pushing and trying to reach the stage. Security steps forward to push them back, trying to keep me from getting shoved into the stage, but it’s too late. Pain ripples through my body as I’m shoved against the hard metal of the platform. I scream out, trying to cry for help, but it’s too late. The lights come on and the music turns off, but not before I feel two large, heavy arms pulling me from the crowd. Then everything goes black. * When I wake up, I’m on a couch. I moan as I try to sit up. Pain radiates through my ribs and hips, reminding me of the club. “What happened?” I ask as I blink my eyes. “Sasha?” “Sasha’s fine,” a male voice says. I turn toward it and see Red, the dancer, standing in front of me in a pair of sweatpants and a smile. “She’s getting acquainted with, uh, one of the other dancers.” I roll my eyes. Of course she is. “Wher

He nodded to Justin at the secretary’s desk, and again to Miss Eriksson as she went by with her own quick tap-tap-tap of heels. He stepped through the door into his office, and shut it behind him. Standing at the desk, Alex looked out over the view from the window, Manhattan spread below him, and felt the heady rush of power. All of this, this building standing tall among the skyscrapers of one of the greatest cities in the world, he’d built. Reid Enterprises and everything that came with that was his. And yet, as he sat down at the big desk of sleek wood and logged into his computer to begin the day’s work, he couldn’t help feeling that something was missing. Less than a year ago Jamie had been here with him, working in the room next door now occupied by Miss Eriksson. Even after a

These clothes aren’t going to cut it. And I also need to search you. Everywhere.” He removes his hand and steps away, watching and waiting, and I swallow hard. The painful knot in my throat only grows as I reach for the hem of my shirt. Taking a deep breath, I pull it off quickly. His eyes are on me, watching with open interest as I move to my jeans. As much as I’d like to draw this out and delay the inevitable, I also don’t want to keep dreading the first time. The sooner I’m naked, the sooner the suspense ends. I’ve prepared myself for what I hope is the worst. “You know what’s going to happen to you, right?” he asks, crossing his arms over his chest as I push the jeans down my legs. He takes a deep breath as I step out of them. In nothing but my pink, cotton underwear, I try to find the courage to meet his gaze, keeping my expression as impassive as possible under the grim circumstances. “I know.” Chapter 2 EVE Two Days Ago… “So you came to me because you need money. For your family,” Benny says, stroking his beard as he eyes me. It’s not a question; he’s just laying the facts out there, summarizing. Swallowing back my nerves, I chance a glance at Ben, my best friend since grade school. When he suggested asking his dad for help, I wasn’t planning on it being this intimidating. Then again, I should have. Walking into the clubhouse for the Hell Breathers motorcycle club—one of the biggest around—should have reminded me how st
